Transmarine Navigation Corporation — a leading U.S. tramp ship agency with offices in a dozen port cities along the Gulf Coast, West Coast, and Hawaii — recently hosted its Leadership Summit 2024.
The event, held last week at The Retreat at Artesian Lakes outside of Houston, Texas, saw Transmarine’s leadership team and support staff convene for in-depth company discussions and to participate in team-building activities.
“The Summit was a tremendous success,” said Leslie Clements, Transmarine’s Managing Director. “The annual meeting gives us the opportunity to share our successes, reassess goals, introduce new protocols and procedures, and strengthen our bond as a leadership team to help ensure our future success as a company.”
On Day One, a corporate facilitator walked the team through an assessment focused on helping staff recognize their personal leadership styles and the needs of the teams they manage.
Day Two featured a discussion of a new system rollout, a presentation from the commercial team, and team-building activities on a challenging outdoor course. Later, the team capped off the Summit with fun and team bonding at TopGolf.
This year’s Summit consisted of 18 Transmarine staff from the Operations, Documentation, Finance, Commercial, and Executive departments, working out of offices in Washington, Portland, Long Beach, San Francisco, and Houston.
